A 60-acre Grade I registered gardens and parkland famous for their hardy hybrid rhododendrons. The gardens care for national plant collections of species rhododendrons, species magnolias and williamsh hybrid camellias. Amongst the garden features are an azalea garden, rare formal wilderness, secret Victorian flower garden and Lime Avenue. There are many listed garden buildings and monuments including the stunning gothic folly of Stainbroough Caslte (c1730).
